Apps as resources, part 2

This part of of the Apps as Resources blog series contains 2 more suggested apps.

Breath Ball

I have really enjoyed having Breath Ball on my phone. It's an app where you follow a ball with your breath which is inflating and deflating as you're meant to breath in and out. You can change the colour of the ball and background and change the amount of breaths in a min. You can also customise the length of the in and out and pause within each breath.

This app is great helping with anxiety or stress. You can have a shortcut to it on your home screen and start following the breathing with just a push of a button. This breathing helps calm down your nervous system and get you into a more relaxed state.

Daylio

This app is a mood tracking app. It allows you to track your mood and say what you were doing and how you were feeling. This is great to help you pick up patterns and trigger to different moods, good and bad.

You can use this information to help manage your daily life and manage your self-care around stressful events. Through stating your mood in your app allows you to process this mood more and move on from it as you can use it in a similar manner to a paper diary. For females, this also allows tracking of PMS mood symptoms through the charting function, helping you to understand the effects of the PMS hormones.

Finally, this app can also be code locked so it keeps your thoughts and feelings private.
